Japan Series

Living to Japan opened up a whole world of art to me. I was introduced to several Japanese art forms, including anime, woodblock printing, Sumi-ink paintings, and architecture.

Japanese art and the things that make up Japan inspired me to try and interpret them in my art. I created this series to document my travels and experiences.

In the series, I painted the places I've been to, broken pottery from beaches, teapots, and other symbolic objects, and food.

I plan to continue this series for as long as possible, implementing other aspects of Japanese culture.

By creating this series, I aim to share my experiences with others who may or may not have had these experiences. I hope you feel inspired by my paintings in one way or another. Japan is an incredible place, and I would love for everyone to experience it.

I encourage you to look at the rest of the paintings in this series in the “Watercolor” section of my portfolio
